It was wrapped. Version thoughts after C-Section
As my doctor was getting me ready to go see my son, I asked him why my boy was breech. He told me that the umbilical chord was wrapped around his neck. His words took me to the day we tried the Version (Blog: Part 1, Part 2) procedure to change my son's birthing position. During both of the times the doctor attempted to Version, I felt my son move and then go back to same position he was in before. The second attempt brought forth the most movement from my son. But he quickly went back to the same spot, his head under my right rib. What if the doctor had continued to push my son towards the vaginal birth position that day? I was told that the possibility of having my son via an emergency C-Section was a real possibility. I'm thankful that my Version experienced was just painful, and not more eventful.
